What is it?

The "My Summer. My Adventure. My Eee PC." contest is your chance to share your fun Summer trip experiences in a creative way with other travel enthusiasts. To participate, you must upload your submission by clicking on the appropriate icon.

Visitors to the http://event.asus.com/eeepc/summer will be able view the submissions and vote on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being the highest score).

How does it work?

http://event.asus.com/eeepc/summer visitors are invited to take part in ASUS's "My Summer. My Adventure. My Eee PC." online contest. This is your opportunity to share your own travel experiences.

The contest runs for the three months of August, September and October and closes on October 31, of 2008.

You create your own video, photo essay, or your story, upload your creation to http://event.asus.com/eeepc/summer, and encourage your friends and family to spread the word about your submission. You can submit as many individual entries into each category as you like.

Favorites will be decided every month based on point scoring (defined below) made up of the number of times your submission is viewed and your submission¡¦s overall ratings on a scale from 1 to 5 (5 being the top score).

Each month, the top 3 submissions, one for video, one for photography and one for story will be selected. Prizes will also be published on http://event.asus.com/eeepc/summer. Who can participate?

This contest is open only to legal residents of the United States and Canada, including the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, Province of Quebec (Canada), and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Submitting Videos, Photographs, and Stories.

Videos

For Video submissions, you need to upload a video no longer than 120 seconds (maximum 5 mb).

You may include audio on the video. Videos entries will be accepted using any spoken language. If the video is non-English, entrants might consider providing English subtitles to try and attract more viewers.

Photographs

For Photography submissions, you need to upload a digital photograph taken by you (maximum 1 mb).

You may post a caption along with the photo. This caption can be no more than 25 words.

Stories

For Story submissions, you need to upload a story written by you. The word limit is 700 words in total.

No copyright infringing content (audio, video, photographic or text) can be included.

Each entry can only be placed in one category according to whether it is a Video, Photograph, or Story.
You can submit as many entries into each category as you like.

To upload any submission, you will need to first create an account on the http://event.asus.com/eeepc/summer/ site. The information in your account will not be used, sold or given away by ACI for its own use or for the use of a third party.

To ensure that submissions are not defamatory, obscene, illegal, infringe any third party intellectual property rights, or otherwise negatively reflect upon ACI, ACI will first verify the content before uploading it onto the site. Any submission which does not meet the norm will be rejected.
