With all the rain we had this summer, here in Quebec, it almost seems that there was no summer.It was a good thing that we started out our summer adventures early.Our first trip (and it happened to be the only big trip of the summer) was off the Philladelphia with the kids. Here we attended a realy great TransYouth Health conference. There were so many people. The kids made new friends, and we did too. The best part of this trip was our return home where we ended up stopping at New Jersey and visiting Liberty State Park. There was so much to see. So much in fact that my digital camera had no more power, so when we were finished at Ellis Island and headed to the main attraction of the Statue of Liberty, I went to take a picture and ...nothing it was deader than dead. Oh well, I guess we'll have to go back to take more pictures. We visited to Lady Liberty and have no proof...aghhhh. What I loved the best was that the hotels we stayed at both had connection to high speed internet, which for me was the greatest thing ever, since we live in the country and do not have access to it. We were able to quickly download all some images and some songs to be able to enjoy those things that normally would take us forever to download and I mean Forever. The rest of the summer was more calm. A lot of times we were confined to the home because of the endless rain - but the kids loved it. For the first time they had unlimited electronic game time! Compared to an 2 hours for the weekend only. The funniest events for me were when I would go outside and proclaim "What a beautiful day...I'll work on painting the house" So off I went to get changed and ready (time elasped approx:10min) then I would step outside and it would....Rain!!!!!
