▪ What is UASP?
The popular USB 3.0 format is limited by BOT specifications, originally designed for the slower USB 2.0. The USB International Forum has introduced UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) recently to offer more optimized transfers for products with USB 3.0. The main differences between UASP and BOT are multiple simultaneous commands on UASP, while BOT can only handle one command at once. This reduces wait times, maximizes bandwidth utilization, and therefore enables faster and more efficient transfers. UASP also helps lower CPU utilization.
