Whether you're technology-savvy, a stay at home momor retired, everyone is welcome to join this voting event to see what interesting and intuitive entertainmentthe WAVI Xtion will bring to your life. The voting process is easy!First, register as a WAVI Xtion event site member*, then watch the videos and choose your favorite application. That's it!You'renoweligible for the drawing for a chance to win an awesome new prize.
- Votes**: During the voting period, each participant can vote for their favorite application.
- Prize: All prizes listed below have won the 2011 Computex Best Choice Award.

- Winner announcement:
Winners will be announced on 14thAugon the WAVI Xtion event site. Prize-winnersfrom the drawing will also receive an email notice.
- ASUS reserves the right to change the dates without prior notice. All the information changed will be announced on the website.
*Correct member information is needed since ASUS will contact the prize-winners based on it.
** If ASUS discoversany cheating, including creating numerous accounts to vote for a certain application, ASUS reserves the right to disqualify the votes and winners.
Voting Terms and Conditions
The ASUS WAVI Xtion Voting Event ("the Event") is hosted by ASUSTEK Computer Inc. ("ASUS").
- Detailed information with respect to How to Play and Prizes constitutes part of these terms and conditions ("the Conditions"). Participation in the Event is deemed as accepting the Conditions. ASUS reserves the right to change the conditions and other rules set forth at any time. Register Voters (as defined below) shall be bound by any such revisions.
- The Event period: 15 July, 2011 at 9:00AM (GMT+8) to 7 August, 2011 at 11:59:59PM (GMT+8); winners will be announced on: 14 August, 2011.
- Participants must sign up online during the Event period ("Register Voters"):
- Go to Event Website to vote for the top three best games/apps via the Event Website.
- Register Voters are eligible for lucky draw for a chance to win prizes.
- Winners will be officially announced on 15 August, 2011 at 9:00AM (GMT+8) via the Event Website.
- Winners will also be contacted by email within 30 days of the end of the Event period.
- Register Voters must behave in accordance with the Conditions and other rules set forth by ASUS, and must not be in violation of any relevant and effective laws. ASUS reserves the right to verify the validity of entries at any time during or after the Event, and reserves the right to disqualify without notice any Register Voter (even a Winner) including all entries made by such Register Voter whose actions constitute any misconduct such as tampering or suspicion of tampering with the entry process. Failure of ASUS to enforce any of its rights hereof does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- In order to protect the privileges of all Register Voters, a Register Voter must abide by applicable and accepted internet communications customs and respect internet conventions:
- Any attempt or act that interferes, invades, or destroys any system or resource on the internet is strictly prohibited.
- If aRegister Voter's data transmission crosses the boundary of any other network, that user must comply with the regulations of such a network.
- Register Votersare strictly prohibited from the transmission of materials that are threatening, obscene, pornographic, or harmful to public order and customs.
- Register Votersare strictly prohibited from acting in a way that introduces a computer virus through the network or the service.
- Any use of automated entry software or other mechanical or electronic means that allow aRegister Voter to automatically enter repeatedly are strictly prohibited, and such use will result in all entries submitted by these Register Voters becoming invalid.
- Any unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after sixty (60) days following the date the winners are announced.
- ASUS accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from acceptance of a prize. Independent financial advice should be sought by the winners themselves.
- ASUS is not liable for any loss or damage suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Event or that of taking a prize.
- A prize, in whole or in part, may not be transferred or exchanged and cannot be liquidated unless specified otherwise.
- In the event that a prize is not available despite ASUS' reasonable endeavors to procure it, ASUS reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal recommended retail value, subject to any written directions from a relevant governmental authority.
- ASUS accepts no responsibility for any subsequent variation in prize value.
- To the extent permitted by law, ASUS makes no warranties, express or implied, with respect to the Event or any other information or documentation provided under these conditions or for the Event. ASUS will not indemnify Register Voters for any direct or consequential damages sustained by any Register Voters due to its participation in the Event and/or sustained through the usage of internet resources.
- ASUS shall not be responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, caused by the internet user; for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Event; or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of the Event, including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or website, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to an Register Voter's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the Event. If for any reason the Event is not capable of proceeding as planned, including but not limited to technical failures, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of ASUS which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Event, ASUS reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Event subject to any written directions from a relevant governmental authority.
- All entries become the property of ASUS. By registering as a player, unless otherwise advised, each Register Voter also agrees that ASUS may compile and print out aRegister Voter's personal data registered at the Event Website and to utilize the data within the scope of business needs and to the extent permitted by laws and regulations, and ASUS Privacy Policy. Any request to access, update or correct any such information should be directed to ASUS at http://vip.asus.com/login.aspx.
- Register Voters agree that the conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of China, and ASUS' various rules for the Event. Register Voters agree that Taipei District Court shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes and issues arising out of or relating to the conditions in the first instance.

Competition Rules
Welcome to the ASUS Xtion PRO Developer Challenge. We're glad to have you participating in this competition by developing games/apps or evaluating them with us! Want to win the big prize? Read below for more details and information.
- Objective: To encourage the development of new technology applications and to offer the public a new entertainment choice
- What to submit:
- Participants are requested to submit at least one game or app, and a creative video which shows how the game or app is played. We're looking for three types of submission including:
- Games: all kinds of games ranging from sports, car racing, educational, puzzles, etc.
- Multimedia: Any app that is played with the users' movies, music or photo libraries, such as e-book reader, photo edit, photo stickers, etc.
- Others: all the rest reserved for your creativity!
- Video: A video is required to show audience the features of the game or app. Instead of a simple introduction video, participants can make it more interesting with a usage scenario andshow the audience what the best way to play your game or app is.
- Programming languages are requested to be either C++ or C#. All games or apps are required to be able to run on ASUS Xtion PRO (Xtion PRO only supports depth detection)and our minimum system requirement:
- OS: Windows XP/Vista/7
- CPU:Conroe Core processor or above.
AMD Athlon64 AM2 Socket or above
- System Memory:2GB
- Graphics card: VGA: Support DX9.0 or above
- Graphics memory: 1GB
- Resolution: 1280*720 screen resolution
* Xtion PRO SDK is OpenNI compatible
- All games/apps are played using the entire body or gestures without any remote or keyboard/mouse (All games/apps are gestured-based.)
- All games/apps can work between 0.8-3.5m from the sensor.
- All games/ apps submitted must be in English.
- g. All games/apps must be submitted to the website by the May 31st deadline
- All games/apps will be judged in2 rounds
- 1st round: ASUS will select games and apps based on the following criteria:
- User stickiness (40%): Attractiveness and addictiveness to users
- Feasibility (30%): Games and apps should be effective and fun especially with gesture control, taking advantage of the unique features of this platform
- Creativity (20%): Creative and interesting, and original games/apps
- Professional (10%): The overall look of the game and app should have good graphics and sound effects.
By clicking "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions before uploading a new game or app, Eligible Entrants agree to license ASUS to put the game or app chosen in the first round on the ASUS online app store. If Eligible Entrants do not agree to license ASUS to put the game or app on the ASUS online app store, their game/app will not be eligible to enter into the second round voting. Nevertheless, ASUS reserves the right to discuss future detail commercial business relationship with Eligible Entrants whose game or app is chosen in the first round.
- 2nd round: Videos of winners from the first round will be posted online and open to the public to let the public vote for the top three best games/apps that they'd like most to play with. The top three games/apps will be the winners of this Competition ("Winners"). The Winners will be awarded a first, second or third prize according to the votes of the public. With help from ASUS, you now have a free chance to promote your software in front of the world, and let people experience and appreciate your hard work.
The rules for public vote will be announced by ASUS later at official WAVI Family Site forum
- Prize
- The prizes of the Winners and this Competition are as below,
- First prize: USD$ 20,000
- Second prize: USD $3,000
- Third prize: USD $ 1,000
- Best video shooting: USD $ 500
Besides the 1st/2nd/3rd awards, there’s also aprize for the best shoot video prize. Participants are encouraged to have a video to show the audience the features of their games/apps. Instead of a simple introduction video, Eligible Entrants can make it more interesting with scenarios, or what’s the best way to play their games or apps. The video viewed by the most number of people during the Competition will win USD $500.
Note 1 : Winner is solely responsible for any tax that may arise from acceptance of the prize. Independent financial advice should be sought by Winners themselves. ASUS accepts no responsibility in this regard.
Note 2: Games and apps chosen from first round may have the chance to be put on the ASUS online app store. ASUS reserves the right to discuss future possible commercial business relationship with Eligible Entrants whose game or app is chosen in the first round.
- Timeline:
- March 22nd: the Competition starts
- May 31th: Final submission date (close on CST 17:00)
- Mid June: Selected videos are open to the public for a second vote for the final winners (specific dates to be announced on WAVI Xtion family site forum)
- July : Winners announcement(specific dates to be announcedon WAVI Xtion family site forum)
Note: ASUS reserved the right to postpone or change the date on the website without individual notice.

- ASUS accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value.
- To the extent permitted by law, ASUS is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion or taking a prize.
- In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency or disaster ASUS reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion subject to any written directions from a relevant Regulatory Authority.
- ASUS shall not be responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, caused by the internet user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or website, software failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries and any injury or damage to an Eligible Entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any materials in the Competition. - ASUS collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. - TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ASUS MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WITH RESPECT TO THIS CAMPAIGN OR ANY OTHER INFORMATION OR DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED UNDER THIS CONDITIONS OR FOR THIS COMPETITION. ASUS WOULD NOT INDEMNIFY ELIGIBLE ENTRANT FOR ANY DIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES SUSTAINED BY ANY ELIGIBLE ENTRANT DUE TO ITS PARTICIPATION IN THIS COMPETITION AND/OR ACQUIRING AND USING OF INTERNET.
